Hailey’s Geekmas Holiday Gift Guide

Hey everyone!

For some of us, it’s almost that special time of year. You know, the time of the year where everything seems magical and hectic, all at the same time.  We scramble around and search high and low for the perfect gifts for the special people in our lives.

This is my first holiday season since I started this blog and I’ve always wanted to do a fun gift guide for gamers, geeks, and collectors.  It’s a common thing to see these types of lists on most blogs and websites during the holiday season so I figured that I’d join in on the fun and list some neat gift ideas for the holidays!

I will show some of the products that I enjoy and tell a little about why I think they would make a great gift!

Before we begin, I wanted to include a disclaimer that I am not sponsored by any of the companies that I will be listing in this article, however, I am a fan of all of them and truly appreciate their selection of items and products.  This article will also not include any affiliate links. These items are gift ideas that I would personally love to give and receive. They will range through all price ranges and fit almost any budget. The prices listed are current at the time of this posting.  Also, all of the photos included in this article are the property of their respective owners and are only being used for visual representation of the gift ideas!

Now, let’s get on with Hailey’s Geekmas Holiday Gift Guide!

*Funko Products – POP Vinyl Figures, Apparel, and More*

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, it’s no surprise that I am a fan of all things Funko because they are fun to collect and they offer a variety of great gift ideas such as their well-known POP! vinyl figures, t-shirts, Dorbz, mystery minis, and even cereal!  I like collecting the POPs because they are affordable and they are available in SO many fandoms that there really is something for everyone! Funko products are widely available at many different retailers but the POPs featured above are Exclusive Destiny POPs that I found listed for just $9.99 on ThinkGeek!

*Mario Chain Chomp Lamp*

I won’t even lie that this next gift idea is on my personal Christmas wish-list and it has been for awhile! Most gamers have played Mario and are familiar with the chain-chomps (which I always thought were adorable!) Seeing it in a desk lamp form is really cool and I absolutely adore this funky and fun lamp! It would really bring a fun and nostalgic feel to any desk, office, bedroom, or gaming room. This lamp was created by ThinkGeek and I found it listed on their website for $69.99! So cute!

*Fallout, Fallout, Fallout!*

pro_big_2_14

Once again, if you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you’ll know that I am a huge fan of Bethesda, most namely, the Fallout series.  Probably the most recognizable thing from the Fallout games is the Vault Boy and who doesn’t love seeing him in adorable bobble-head form? Series #4 of the Vault Boy bobbleheads include Moving Target, Sole Survivor, Big Leagues, Toughness, Nerd Rage, Demolition Expert and Radioactive Ricochet. The bobbleheads can be purchased separately for $14.99 each or you can get the pack of 7 for $79.99 from Gaming Heads.

I’m sure you may have noticed above how I said “Fallout” three times in the heading for this gift section. I love Fallout merchandise and it’s one of the main things that I collect so I decided to include three Fallout products in this section (even though it was so hard to choose just three!) The awesome product featured above is actually an incense burner! I don’t personally use incense so I would just use it for display. My sister actually picked this up a few weeks ago and I was super jealous because I love it! You can find it online for $34.99 from GeekStore!

Next up in our journey through Fallout gift ideas is this awesome Nuka Cola Quantum lamp! I love this lamp because I’ve always thought that Nuka Cola and Nuka Cola Quantum were some of the best in-game brands ever! As it’s mentioned previously in Fallout 3, “You can’t resist the taste that’ll blow up in your face!” This lamp is amazing and it will make your gift recipient’s decor and space dynamite! Okay, that was a lame pun, but you get what I mean! It’s cooler than a fragmentation grenade at the feet of a super mutant! I found it online from GameStop for $29.99!

*Geeky Handbags and Purses*

The next stop on our geeky gift guide adventure brings us to Loungefly! I’ve been a fan of Loungefly and their purses and other merchandise for quite some time now! The designs are always so cute and they offer many products in a variety of fandoms such as Disney, Star Wars, My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Marvel, Stranger Things, Overwatch, and more! There were honestly so many cute and awesome designs that it was hard for me to choose which one to feature in this gift guide. However, I decided on this Nightmare Before Christmas chibi print bag. It was listed for $64.00!

Tokidoki is another brand that I’ve been following for quite some time and I’ve always found their merchandise to be awesome! I love the cute characters and they offer a wide variety of different item types such as apparel and accessories. This Denim Daze mini backpack can be found at Tokidoki’s online store for $64.00!

*Controllers*

controller

When I think of gaming, one of the first things that comes to mind after my favorite games are my favorite controllers! I wanted to include some options in this gift guide for controllers which brings us first to the Xbox Design Lab! I really like the Xbox Design Lab (and I’m sure you may have seen my custom design lab controller featured in previous postings!).  They offer many color options and combinations and the option to personalize the text on your controller.  The controllers vary in price depending on your chosen options, but they start at $69.99 for the standard colors and $79.99 for the camo and shadow options.

Next up for controllers, I wanted to feature the PowerA controllers. My personal favorite is this Princess Peach controller for the Nintendo Switch! PowerA offers controllers for various systems and in various styles from franchises such as Mario, Zelda, and Diablo. This particular style is a wired controller. I found it (and many other great styles!) from GameStop and this particular style was priced at $24.99!

*Practical, Fun, and Great for Stocking Stuffers*

As I was browsing another one of my favorite websites to visit, TeeTurtle, I stumbled upon many awesome products that would be great for stocking stuffers and gifts in general. From t-shirts, pins, and plushies (plus more!), TeeTurtle has so much awesome stuff! I decided to feature their Pew Pew Kitty Pin ($5), Rocket and Groot Socks ($12), and the Supernatural Driver Picks The Music t-shirt ($12.50 sale price).

TeeTurtle also had a really cool section up right now that were great gifts for under $10 and I saw so many things on that list that I loved that would make great gifts!

*For Collectors*

The final stop on our gift guide journey brings us to Sideshow Collectibles!  I’ve been a fan of Sideshow for about 5 years and I’m always finding something new on their site that makes me say “I really want that!” If you or your gift recipient are into comics, video games, movies, or just pop culture in general and you are looking for awesome collectibles, I can bet that Sideshow has something for you! Sideshow primarily sells amazing figures, statues, and art prints from a lot of the top fandoms in pop culture such as Star Wars, Marvel, and DC. If you’ve read my blog for awhile, you may remember the review I did of the Daryl Dixon 1/6th scale figure by threezero that I purchased from Sideshow!

Shown above are the BioShock Big Daddy and Little Sister 1/6th scale figure by threezero that retails for $280 and the Deadpool 1/6th scale figure by Hot Toys that retails for $251.

I hope that you all enjoyed this gift guide and it hopefully gave you some inspiration! Even if the products I featured aren’t ideal for what you are looking for, I still encourage you to check out the other items that all of these awesome brands and companies offer!

I will be posting before Christmas officially happens, but I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

  1. I never thought I would desperately want a lamp but there it is. That Chain Chomp lamp is fantastic! Nice find. I haven’t got the loose money or the right place for it but If I ever get a man cave that lamp is mine.

  2. It’d be great with this lamp: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Mario-Bros-2929-Collectors/dp/B01CSC33WE

Obviously not side by side but a nice Mario lamp aesthetic going on. I’m doing well, ta. Hope you are too.

Also to your post discussion question. Getting married in January, it’s all that is talked about in my life (to the point where me and my partner are getting tired of talking about it) and so my wish would be for that to go smoothly and with no family drama ha. Materialistic wise though, https://i.etsystatic.com/9670364/r/il/a8ec8d/1365628380/il_570xN.1365628380_nz71.jpg
I’m gonna treat myself to it one day. It’s not very guest friendly but I’ll figure it out.
